Z is for ZOMG! The A to Z Challenge is Ending

In honor of young adults everywhere (including those adults who are young at heart), Z is for ZOMG!

My first A to Z Challenge has come to an end, with the last day of April and the last letter of the alphabet.

Overall I'm glad I participated. I hope this exercise will help me blog more frequently--if I can blog every day, surely I can blog twice a week. My pub sister Nicki Elson is the one who encouraged me to give the Challenge a try, and it's great she introduced me to this universe.

The best part of the challenge was meeting new bloggers! Here are some of the noteworthy writers and bloggers I came across:

*Roland Yeomans at Writing in the Crosshairs blog: His dead and undead characters in New Orleans have been interesting to follow!

*Kyra Lennon at Write Here Write Now blog: She just finished her sports romance (I love this genre) and it was great to hear from the various characters on a professional soccer team

*Heather Gardner at The Waiting is the Hardest Part blog: The adventures of the gnome Stormy kept me giggling throughout the challenge.

Thank you to the organizers of the challenge, including authors Karen Jones Gowan and Alex J Cavanaugh! Alex and Nicki are part of the Insecure Writers Support Group and I want to join that group once I finish my upcoming blog tour.

If I participate next year, I hope to write some posts in advance and visit more blogs. I think a theme might be too constraining but it's interesting to consider. Have a great week, everyone!

Aww, thank you so much for the mention! I have had a great time reading your blog, and I'm really happy I found you! :D

Roland Yeomans is a genius - I rarely comment on his blog, but I always read it, marvelling at how wonderful his writing is. :D

Kyra, it was great cyber-meeting you. :) Roland's writing is wonderful.

Feather, yahoo! We made it. That was quite an undertaking! And now you and I both have upcoming blog tours...good luck. I just finished The Guardian's Wildchild (and a wild ride it was indeed) and I hope to have my review up soon.
Wow, such great words from you and Kyra! My ghost writing mentors insist on taking the credit for any skill I might have. LOL.

It was great getting to know you and Kyra better. I wish you luck on your book blog tour. Let me know how I can help there.

This Challenge was daunting with my work as a rare blood courier, writing BEST OF ENEMIES, and moving at the same time!

Here's a loud YAAAAAY! for surviving this gauntlet! Roland

Hi Roland. I second that YAAAAAY! We did it! Keep up the good work with your careers.

Whew! I've made it too. I feel bad about not getting through the entire blog list, but at 1500+ participants I'm not sure many people did!

Congrats on completing the challenge. =)

Sean, I give major props to people who visited all 1500 blogs! thanks for stopping by and congrats on making it!

Thanks Patricia! To you too.

Kudos on a great challenge, Jennifer! I am with you, if I do this again I am definitely going to write posts in advance, I didn't get to visit nearly as many blogs as I wanted to. Still, it's been a great month and I've enjoyed your posts!
I gained 40 followers, and I visited lots but certainly not as many as I'd hoped to - I underestimated how much time the challenge would take up. Next year I'll be more prepared.

Congratulations on finishing the challenge :-)
And I thought my Z post was short, but nobody can beat ZOMG. That is the cutest thing ever! I am LOLing.

It's been great meeting so many fantastic new bloggers through this challenge.

Wishing you all the best for Streamline!

Uhm, yeah, sorry I didn't give you that advance writing tip earlier - D'oh! I'm glad to hear you think the overall experience was beneficial. Now posting twice a week is going to seem like NOTHING.

Looking forward to having you join IWSG next month -- I promise that one's a lot less exhausting than this one.

Your Book signing icon is lovely.
I know all of those bloggers! (Does that surprise you?) Glad Nicki talked you into the Challenge. Please join us for the IWSG when you have finished with your tour.
Awesome!

So glad you made it through.

There is something to be said for being more prepared. Even though I couldn't pull that off this year either!

Thanks so much for the mention and for the support! I appreciate it very much.

IWSG is SOOOO much easier. 1 tiny post a month.

Congrats! Don't be a stranger.

Annalisa, that's a lot more followers! I'm not sure how many I gained but I think it was 15 or so. But I didn't get around to near as many blogs as I wanted. Damn career!

Nicki, thanks for bringing me over to the dark side. ;) The book signing button is my first attempt to make one of those on photobucket so I thank you kindly, ma'am!

Alex, of course that doesn't surprise me. You know everyone, and everyone knows you! I look forward to IWSG--I'm all about support groups.

Heather, I hope we can stay in touch too! I'm glad to hear IWSG is just one post a month, hooray.

It's good that you took Nicki up on this Challenge. It's a great way to stretch oneself. The advance prep does help a lot, but you still sound like you did okay.

Congratulations on making it through the A to Z Challenge. Join us on May 7th with your Challenge Reflections post.

Is this Arlee Bird, the creator of the A to Z Challenge? I'm so honored you stopped by my blog.

I have a blog tour going on for the 7th so I might just link to my Z post, which was sort of a wrap-up.

Thank you for this great challenge!
