#IWSG Writing Schedule New Release TWIN SACRIFICE

Welcome to 2018's first Insecure Writer's Support Group! We're a "safe space" to share our hopes and fears, created by our intrepid leader, Alex Cavanaugh. I'm excited to be your co-host today, along with these witty writers:

*This month's question: What steps have you taken or plan to take to put a schedule in place for your writing and publishing?

At first, writing consumed me so much that I wrote every day. Now, I only write on weekends (unless I'm traveling). I'm okay with that schedule because I'm too wiped out from the day job to write on weeknights, and no way in hell am I waking up early to write!

I also aim for publishing one new release a year. On February 28, 2018, I'm launching my first psychological thriller, Twin Sacrifice.

Do you have a little time to help spread the word for my new release?

You can add Twin Sacrifice to Goodreads HERE

A larger time investment is signing up for the cover reveal, pre-order blitz, and/or review tour HERE. Book Partners in Crime will send you super easy HTML for your blog.

Here's to an amazing 2018! May you strive for and reach your writing goals.

Congrats on your book release. I just added it to my Goodreads list. You're inspiring me since you can get a book written by writing just on the weekends. I work too and it's a struggle. Thanks for hosting IWSG this month.
Congrats, Jennifer. I signed up!! Thank you for co-hosting this month. Happy New Year!
Sounds like a plan! I'm not waking up early either.
And thanks for co-hosting today!

Congratulations on your upcoming book release and thank you for co-hosting today! Unlike traditionally published authors, there seems to be an expectation that indie authors publish several books a year. What readers forget is that most indie authors also have a day job. We do need sleep!

Thanks for co-hosting and congrats on your upcoming release. I'd prefer not to get up early, but the kids insist on eating for some reason. Take note parents and teach your kids to make their own breakfasts!

I so understand energy and writing go hand in hand. My bio-clock and energy are best in the wee hours of the morning. By the end of the day most of the creative juices have dried up. Glad you've found a time and space that works for you! Thank you for co-hosing IWSG this month.

Sounds like you have worked out a routine that works for you, which is what we all strive for. Best of luck with your book release!

I hear you on the waking up early thing! I can hardly manage doing it for work! I need to get back into the swing of things myself.

I like that premise! Added to my Goodreads. :D
And thank you for co-hosting and stopping by! :D

Day jobs take the fun out of everything, don't they? I'm struggling with my own. Thanks for being my co-co-host! :)

Congrats on the new release, Jennifer!! Great way to start the new year. And good for you for putting a writing schedule that works for you in place. I, too, am a full timer. Thank goodness I'm an early bird but once in a while I'd actually like to remember what 10:30 p.m. looks like. Thanks for co-hosting this month!

Congrats on your release! I’m someone who likes her sleep no matter how late I get to bed, so I’m with you in not doing the whole 5am writing thing. But what I do try to do is to at least write 100 words before I get up and start my day. My next writing time is during lunch hour, if I’m not working through it, or when I get home after work. Thanks for co-hosting today! And Happy New Year!

Thanks for co-hosting.Congrats on your success as a writer.
Bravo, Jennifer, on your new release. And Bravo to you for organizing your writing time and marketing your books.

May I ask who hosts your website that you can attach a link to your blogspot blog? I have a blogspot blog and am trying to put together a website, but all I find is info on Wordpress sites and blogs.

Thank you for any assistance you may offer. Your website and blog are beautiful. I've followed your blog and will connect with you online.

Congrats on the upcoming release. Though you have a full time job, it seems you're very productive anyway, if only on weekends. Here's to 2018, and may you soon be able to quit your day job and write full time.

Congrats on your book release. One book a year sounds about right. A good goal. Can I comment on your covers? They need more--a tagline? Something? They look a little bland except for the hunky guy.
I'll put it on my TBR list...

Congratulations on your new book! I'm more of a night owl and also find it challenging to write early in the morning.

Congratulations on your upcoming release and thanks for co-hosting the IWSG this month. Apologies to the group but I didn't get round to posting this month. I kind of lost track over this last month and am actually busy trying to schedule in writing time to finish a first draft! I do agree that getting up early isn't really an option for me so trying to fit in when I can! All the best for 2018.

Cheers to weekend warriors!

I'm all signed up for the release festivities. I'm happy you're going w/ Book Partners in Crime. Not only do they fit your theme, they're super organized and easy to work with.

Congrats on the new release, Jennifer!
I'm not a wake-up-early-to-write kind of writer. I actually prefer to write late at night.
Thank you for co-hosting the IWSG this month.
Happy 2018!

Congratulations on your book release! I don’t have a set schedule for writing, but I do for other activities like meditation and fitness. I’m excited to be almost done with publishing a book of selected poems I’ve written over the years! I wish you the very best in all you dream of and a blessed 2018!

Hi Jennifer

I am all set to join your Cover Reveal but I don't see that I got the information for it. Would you mind resending? If I can get it within a few days, I can still post the cover reveal article! Thanks, Jennifer!

Ooh! A thriller? How exciting. I would be happy to tweet out an image or link, whatever you'd prefer. I'm a little crazy, but I will get it out with at least a couple days heads up.
Sometimes, it's best to make the writing fit life instead of the other way around.
Happy 2018!
